Hot runner control and servo control - precision compactly combined:
The new compact and space-saving MCSservo hot runner control/servo control combination is a joint development by Feller and their partner Servomold, a specialist in the automation of injection molds. It combines up to sixty hot runner control zones and a maximum of five elements for controlling servo-driven actuators under a common, user-friendly operator interface on a 10" touch display. The hot runner control system is based on Feller's proven MCS type systems with their high functionality and standard-setting user-friendliness. The second component, servomold's new SMC servo control system, is used for high-precision execution of rotational and linear movements in the mold. Its intuitive, browser-based user interface and advanced functions facilitate the optimized adaptation of parameters to the injection molding process for maximum mold safety. The thoroughly revised hardware offers new features such as automatic position encoder switching, active fan control, and advanced autotuning functions for the driven system components.
High-precision control for the movement and positioning of needles:
As a second trade show innovation, Feller's valve gate controller of the MCSvgc product line enables individual, high-precision control of valve gate nozzles for step-by-step filling of cavities. The development is based on the proven MCS hot runner controllers. Furthermore, this allows for the preservation of familiar housings and ensures a high level of user-friendliness, paving the way for the future concurrent use of both hot runner control and valve gate control. The associated sequence editor for valve control allows a combination of tabular display and graphical elements to simplify the creation of a sequence and to make diagnostics more transparent. Configurable in groups of six, variants for up to thirty nozzles are available, optionally also with end position monitoring.
